Every child deserves love, care, nurturing and Education. It is extremely challenging for blind or visually impaired children to pursue education. In India, it is tougher due to poverty and lack of social awareness and infrastructure.

For these visually challenged children, providing good education and equal opportunity is the biggest challenge.

The students of GITAM LAW College understand this, and regularly visit Nethra Vidyalaya Varija, Vishakapatnam to contribute, serve and spend time interactig with the children.

GITAM is a premier educational institution in the country having 35 years of track record in teaching and research of global standards. The University is located in two campuses at Visakhapatnam and Hyderabad. With a multi disciplinary approach, the University offers 106 programmes at UG, PG and Doctoral levels in – Technology, Science, Pharmacy, Management, International Business, Architecture and Law. The academia and industry look up to GITAM University for solutions to problems of the industry and society in several emerging areas.

On one of their recent visits, the law students spent an entire day with the students at the Nethra campus and propsed a plan to generate donations for the school.

So, they made colourful friendship band with the help of Nethra’s students. They plan to sell these at their college to raise funds for the school.
