Nethra Vidyalaya Blind school Students  also won 2 Gold Medals in special  State level running competitions held in Guntur. In regular category competitions  3 vedic students from Varija also won medals.

Earlier it was very difficult for blind and visually impaired children to persue education. This was especially harder in India, due to the lack of infrastructure and technology. But  in the recent times, after great research and development, blind students are now able to not only persue education, but also find jobs, lead an independent life and become equally enabled, confident and contributing members of society.

Doctors and Neuroscietists have classfied the blind into 2 types:

  1. Who are blind by birth : These people do not see colors in their dream. Their dreams include only noises & emotions.
  2. Who became blind due to any happening in life: These people see colors in their dreams but the intensity of the colors is associated with the time when they last seen the colors in their original life before being blind.

This project is very close to our hearts and it is Swamiji’s vision to enable these children to see the world through the divine eyes of knowledge. With a little support, we will be able to provide better education and facilities to these visually challenged students.
