Jai Srimannarayana..!
Poet and musician, Sant Surdas ji birthday was celeebrated on 23rd April at our Nethra Vidyalaya Varija campus. Sant Surdas ji was a famous blind Hindi poet, scholar, musician and great devotee of Lord Sri Krishna. In spite of being blind, Surdas ji was a very gifted child.
The teachers of Nethra Varija taught the students the early life, history, famous works, dohas & poems, bhajans etc composed by the great saint Surdas ji. The students then sang bhajans and poems composed by the great 15th century saint. The program was organised by SKM (Shrusthi Kashamata Vikasam) Vishakapatnam.
Nethra Vidyalaya, founded by HH Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji, provides free, holistic education to visually impaired children — empowering them to live with dignity and self-reliance. Swamiji’s constant aspiration is to empower every student to become self-reliant and lead a life of dignity, without dependence on others.
Our students write exams on laptops, have marched in NCC Parades before the Governor, and shine in sports, athletics, and cultural events — embodying Swamiji’s vision of true independence.
These achievements reflect the dedication of our students, the guidance of Swamiji, and the generous support of our donors and volunteers.
You’ve just read about what’s possible: students writing their own exams, national chess champions, and software engineers breaking barriers. This isn’t a dream; it’s the proven impact of Nethra Vidyalaya. Donate today. Fund a future of dignity, independence, and achievement.
Empowering visually challenged students with quality education and holistic development for over 18 years. Building futures through insight and innovation.
