Be it the T20 National Cricket championship 2021 or Para Olympics 2019 or National Parade our Netra students always have proved themselves that lacking vision is not a disability when the minds are strong. NethraVidyalaya has always encouraged and provided facilities for the visually impaired to achieve their dreams and lead a life of a common man.
AP team cricket team won the Nagesh Trophy- T20 National cricket Tournament for blind 2020-2021 held at Bengaluru from 8th Feb-16th Feb played against the 23 states.

Out of 36 participants, 4 of them are from our Institutions in which 3 (Gopala Chari, Ravindra, and Punya Srinadh) are selected for the National Camp i.e. Nagesh trophy (The only trophy organized by the government every year for V.I) which was held from 8th Feb-16th Feb.
CricketCricket Association for the Blind in India (CABI) is an independent entity which provides the players with a platform to showcase the hidden talent. This is operated with the funds and donations.
India’s visually impaired cricket team has been performing astonishingly well but hasn’t got much recognition and attention anytime. The teams have been struggling financially all time with no facilities to improve their cricket abilities.
Amidst the Covid-19 situation, CABAP (Cricket Association for Blind of Andhra Pradesh) requested Nethra Vidyalaya to organize the Selection trials of the AP Cricket team for Visually Challenged. Nethra Vidyalaya a visionary of HH Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji organized the camp for 36 members in all aspects like accommodation, food, transport, etc., from 3rd to 5th Jan 2021.

His HH Tridandi Srimannarayana Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji’s vision to provide all facilities and encouragement for the visually challenged to lead a sustainable life has to lead the students to achieve to the highest in T20 Cricket championship, ATTF, National Parade, and many high-rank employments.

Our VT Seva volunteers who are always on their toes to serve and encourage the talents of the underprivileged have contributed an amount of 8 Lakhs which was distributed among the team of 16 members by Rs50,000 each.
Team showed their gratitude to Swamiji by paying respect to His HH at Ashram after they have won the trophy. The team left the ashram with overwhelming joy after receiving the Blessing from HH Swamiji along with the financial and moral support they received from VT Seva.
