With the divine mangalasasanams and guidance of HH Sri Sri Sri Tridandi Chinna Srimannarayana Ramanuja Jeeyar Swamiji, the students of Nethra Vidyalaya School for the Visually Challenged (Bheemili, Visakhapatnam), run under the aegis of Jeeyar Educational Trust, have achieved a remarkable milestone in technology and innovation.
Five teams from Nethra Vidyalaya participated in the WSRO competition, competing alongside nearly 1,000 students from leading corporate schools across the country.
Displaying exceptional creativity, technical knowledge, problem-solving abilities, and determination, the Nethra Vidyalaya teams made their mark at the national-level competition.
Among the five participating teams, two teams emerged as winners in their respective categories, earning qualification to represent Nethra Vidyalaya at the WSRO National Robotics Championship 2026, scheduled to be held in Goa on September 26 and 27, 2026.
Young Scientist (Agriculture for Blind)
Project Focus: They demonstrated how STEM and robotics can be adapted to address real-world challenges and promote greater independence and participation for persons with visual disabilities.
BLIX Sprint:
○Project Focus: Their performance reflected not only technical competence but also High-speed robotics and logic design showcasing precision and problem-solving skills.
This victory stands as a strong testament to HH Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji’s core vision, providing equal opportunities, inclusive education, and advanced technical exposure to visually challenged students, enabling them to compete with mainstream peers on an equal footing.
Shri P.S.N. Raju, President of the Nethra Vidyalaya School Committee, and Smt. M. Shireesha Latha, Secretary and Correspondent, appreciated the students and the dedicated teachers and mentors whose guidance and continuous support contributed to this achievement.
The success is a reflection of the students’ hard work and determination, as well as the commitment of the teachers and mentors who encouraged them to explore new possibilities through STEM and robotics.
The Journey Continues
With their victory at the WSRO competition in Pune, the two winning teams have now earned the opportunity to compete at the WSRO National Robotics Championship 2026 in Goa on September 26 and 27.
