Nethra students pave their way for Nationals held by IBSA

Nethra Vidyalaya is proud to announce the success of their students who bagged gold medals in the sports event organized by the recently formed Andhra Pradesh Blind Sports Association at Vishakapatnam port trust grounds on 29th October 2018. They held several field and track events like running, long jump, kabbadi, shot put and chess. The participants were divided into two categories — 14 to 17 years and 17 to 40 years.
Out of the 26 students participated from nethra vidyalaya and won

• 18 – Gold Medals
• 11 – Silver Medals
• 2 – Bronze Medals

Out of these, 17 students were selected to participate in Nationals, held by Indian Blind Sports Association (IBSA) in the second week of December 2019 at Delhi.

Not stopping here our students proved again in the District level sports &Games conducted by AndhraPradesh Disabled Sports association on the occasion of World Disabled day at Police Barracks ground, Vishakapatnam. This was held under the open categories of 14-17 years and above 17 years for all the differently abled people on 21st November, 2018.
Nethra students about 19 have participated in running, long jump, short put, disc throw and chess from which they have achieved medals of

• 11 – 10 Silver
• 6 – bronze
