Hyderabad, October 7, 2026: In a significant step towards strengthening inclusive education and digital empowerment, Divi’s Laboratories contributed 50 high-performance laptops to visually challenged students of Nethra Vidyalaya, an educational initiative established under the divine guidance and vision of HH Sri Sri Sri Tridandi Chinna Srimannarayana Ramanuja Jeeyar Swamiji.
The initiative reflects Divi’s Laboratories’ continued commitment to leveraging technology to create meaningful opportunities for students and communities. The laptop distribution will provide students with advanced digital tools to support their academic learning, technical education and future career opportunities.
Nethra Vidyalaya has been providing free, quality education to visually challenged learners since 2001, guided by HH Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji’s vision of dignity, self-reliance and equal opportunity.
Over the years, Nethra Vidyalaya students have demonstrated the transformative impact of this approach through outstanding academic, professional and sporting achievements.
The latest contribution from Divi’s Laboratories will further strengthen this technology-enabled learning environment and help students develop the digital skills required for higher education and employment.
The programme commenced with the Divi’s Laboratories CSR delegation receiving the Mangalasasanams of HH Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji. Swamiji formally inaugurated the initiative by powering on one of the newly donated laptops and presenting it to the students.
During his interaction with the students, Swamiji took keen interest in their coursework, the new technologies they are learning, including web development, and the assistive technologies they use in their daily education.
The students also demonstrated their use of NVDA with Hear2Read, enabling screen-based access to content in both English and Telugu.
Swamiji encouraged the students to make full use of the advanced technology available to them and to continuously develop their academic, technical and professional capabilities.
The latest contribution builds upon a longstanding association between Divi’s Laboratories and Nethra Vidyalaya. Since 2015, Divi’s Laboratories has supported Nethra Vidyalaya through technology and infrastructure initiatives, including the contribution of 100+ laptops and 50+ JAWS-enabled computing systems.
Following the interaction with HH Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji, representatives of the Divi’s Laboratories CSR team visited the Nethra Vidyalaya campus and formally handed over the laptops to the students.
Sriman G. Nagesh Garu, CSR Manager, Divi’s Laboratories, and Sriman S. Sai Krishna Garu, CSR Team Member, participated in the programme and interacted with the students.
The handover marked another important milestone in the continuing partnership between Divi’s Laboratories and Nethra Vidyalaya, reinforcing the role that responsible corporate participation can play in advancing accessibility and inclusive education.
The contribution is aligned with the broader philosophy of Divi’s Laboratories and its Founder & Managing Director, Dr. Murali K. Divi, whose vision emphasizes the importance of investing in technology, staying close to science, creating opportunities for people to learn and contribute, and building enduring relationships.
The 50 laptops will serve as important instruments in the students’ educational journey, helping them move closer to their aspirations with greater confidence and independence.
