An Enthusiastic Volunteer Raising Funds for Blind Students by Putting Mehandi

Nambi Andal, an academician at an early career is a responsible lecturer of Netra Vidyalaya. She is a sincere devotee of HH Sri Sri Sri Tridandi Chinna Srimannarayana Ramanuja Jeeyar Swamiji since her childhood. Teaching the blind students did not quench her thirst for service to the blind. Her restless mind prompted her to do more for the visually handicapped students. She came up with an idea and started decorating mehendi along with her friends to interested women during HH Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji’s programs thus raising awareness about HH Swamiji’s programs as well as gathering funds. The charitable payments she receives in all programs go towards the Nethra Vidyalaya – School for Blind, Junior College for Blind and Degree College for Blind. In the recent ‘Sri Ramayana Pravachanam’ at Shamshabad program Miss. Andal has collected Rs. 7500 along with her sisters Kum. Radhika and Kum. Anagha. The cover photo shows Andal and her sisters donating their collections to HH Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji.

Nethra Vidyalaya, founded by HH Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji, provides free, holistic education to visually impaired children — empowering them to live with dignity and self-reliance. Swamiji’s constant aspiration is to empower every student to become self-reliant and lead a life of dignity, without dependence on others.

Our students write exams on laptops, have marched in NCC Parades before the Governor, and shine in sports, athletics, and cultural events — embodying Swamiji’s vision of true independence.

These achievements reflect the dedication of our students, the guidance of Swamiji, and the generous support of our donors and volunteers.
