HH Swamiji Inspires Athletes: “Accept Victory and Defeat Equally”

Delivering the benedictory address, HH Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji lauded the enthusiasm of visually impaired boys and girls, noting that physical limitations cannot hinder true willpower and potential. Swamiji emphasized the vital role of athletics in student life, highlighting:

  • Mental Fitness & Resilience: Active participation in sports nurtures a sharp, healthy mind and instills experiential learning that textbooks alone cannot provide.
  • True Sportsmanship: Swamiji encouraged players to treat victory and defeat as equals (Gelupotamulanu Samanamga Teesukovali), using sports as a tool to cultivate confidence, patience, and character.

Adding to the excitement of the opening, Swamiji stepped onto the pitch holding a cricket bat to face deliveries, delighting the athletes and filling the stadium with cheer.
